SWCOLT is a professional organization whose primary purpose is to plan, organize and supervise an annual meeting for language teachers. In addition, SWCOLT participates in the professional advancement and development of teachers through scholarships, awards, publications and advocacy.
Why become a member of SWCOLT?         SWCOLT can only put on its annual conference through the participation of its members.   As an SWCOLT member you will receive all SWCOLT newsletters and other mailings.   You will receive a significant discount on conference registration.   You may nominate and vote for members of the Board of Directors and other positions.   You will be invited to a reception for the Conference Business Meeting (usually a breakfast or reception).   You will be eligible for nomination and election to the SWCOLT Board of Directors.   You can participate in conference planning and evaluation.         Regular membership is $50 per year.         Students and retirees may join for $25 per year (although student membership must be verified and is limited to four years).         Organizations, companies, and universities, etc., may obtain a Patron membership for $100. This will include two memberships for conference registration purposes.
