2024 AZLA SPECIAL FALL WORKSHOP

Assessing Three Modes of Communication: Designing Tasks to Show What Learners Can Do September 13 & 14, 2024 from the Arizona Language Association (AZLA)

Facilitated by Paul Sandrock (former Director of Education for ACTFL), this virtual workshop is open to all who wish to attend (on Zoom). Participants can work from home or the classroom by themselves or with their departments/PLCs, or they can join breakout groups with other enthusiastic participants. The goal of the workshop is to create a usable product that can be implemented in classrooms. Collaborate to design an Integrated Performance Assessment to showcase learners’ language performance, identifying the purpose, process, and product of the assessment task for each mode of communication (Interpretive, Interpersonal, and Presentational). To register ($40) and for full details including the workshop agenda, visit: arizonalanguageassociation.wildapricot.org/Fall-Workshop. Contact AZLA with questions (ArizonaLanguageAssociation@gmail.com).
