SWCOLT is a professional organization whose primary purpose is to plan, organize, and supervise an annual meeting for language teachers. In addition, SWCOLT participates in the professional advancement and development of teachers through scholarships, awards, publications, and advocacy.

Membership Year begins February 1st and ends January 31st

If you are attending the current year's conference (full registration), membership is included in the registration. If you are unable to attend the conference, but want to be a current member of SWCOLT, then please print the form from the link below and mail to:  SWCOLT HQ, 14675 North 90th Lane, Peoria, AZ 85381 or  fill out the Membership Application (below) and continue to the option to pay with your credit card online.

With your membership, you will:

• Receive SWCOLT news via mail and email​

• Receive an invitation to the SWCOLT members' reception at the annual conference

• Regular Membership $50​

• Retired Educator Membership $25​

• Full-time World Language Education Student Membership $25

• ​State World Language Teachers' Association Membership $100​​

  • State Association Membership allows you to

    • submit a "Regional Teacher of the Year" candidate

    • submit a "Best of State" session to be automatically accepted into the annual conference program

    • receive a complimentary exhibit table in the conference exhibit hall (when requested)​

Did you know?
SWCOLT offers each scholarship recipient a $300 stipend to help with travel expenses.
SWCOLT awards the Regional Teacher of the Year with a $500 honorarium.
SWCOLT supports the "Best of SWCOLT" session presenter with $600 to help with costs at ACTFL.
